heidi heidelberg

As I mentioned in my last post, I've spent the last few days relaxing in Heidelberg in Germany. Was so good to get away after being so bloody sick. We spent our days riding bikes, having picnics, making strawberry jam, watching fireworks, shopping and reading books in the glass house. It was a beautiful time and I got to enjoy it with my beautiful mumma-bear. I highly recommend booking a vacation in which you to do absolutely nothing in particular. It's pretty amazing. I made a little trip to Heidelberg in Germany this weekend to escape the Jubilee carnage. I've been AWOL recently because I've been so sick with tonsillitis and now am on vacation. It is so cute here and as well as many bike rides and picnics I also had to cram in some shopping of course. I came across a beautiful store today in the centre of Heidelberg called Trippen. Their shoes are all hand made and from the most beautiful leather. I fell in love with these bad boys and am soooo regretting not buying them. They remind me so much of the Vivienne Westwood rocking horse shoes. The sales assistant was telling me that you can order any of the shoes in the collections in any coloured leather that you want; they have a huge swatch of leathers to pick from in the store. As I get older I'm really noticing that I appreciate great quality and craftmanship in the things I want to buy. These would be an investment in German design and workmanship that you couldn't compare with the majority of crap I usually buy. Check out their website www.trippen.de. Big love - ash x

This is my new obsession and muse. She is sooo fucking cute. Her name is Bonnie Strange and she's a model/photographer. Helllooo! A little outfit post for you. I was feeling half 80s and half 90s this morning. Couldn't quite decide so I just thought I'd bust out both of the looks. Sorry again for the total lack of love here on the blog. I don't even have a good excuse. I've been busy this week though, prepping for a shoot this weekend. It's a mens shoot which I'm pumped about as who doesn't love dressing boys! I'll do a post with my reference images soon. 

I was a bit eager for the sun yesterday and busted out my Sonia Rykiel for H&M wedges without socks. Shock, I know! I still love them after such a long time. I then had to get out my purple jacket and massive leopard print scarf to keep the top of me warm at work. Lot's of coffee from Kaffeine on Great Titchfield Street (which by the by is fucking good coffee) is the go to keep my tootsies warm. Big love - ash x
